Head – Strategic Engagement and Government Relations at Navitas
Kadi’s role is to support the development and articulation of Navitas’ public policy and advocacy positions. She works across Navitas and with external stakeholders to connect colleagues and partners with opportunities, ideas and insights. Kadi came to Navitas with over 15 years experience in the Australian Public Service, most of which was spent working on international education within both Austrade and the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training.
Kadi led the development of AIE2025, the long term market development roadmap for Australian international education; Austrade’s research and data analysis function; and its engagement with other key Australian Government agencies, state and territory governments and the international education sector. During her time in the Department she contributed to strategic policy, various student mobility initiatives, including the New Colombo Plan, the Endeavour Awards and the first Australian Government funded program for the outbound mobility of VET students; extensive government-to-government work across Asia, the Middle-East and the Americas; and the global promotion and marketing of Australian international education services. She also completed a secondment to the Australia Awards Secretariat in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Kadi holds a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations and Politics) from the University of Canberra and a Diploma of Government.
