Interim Managing Director, NCVER
Mette Creaser is the Interim Managing Director of NCVER, a national professional body responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics on the Australian vocational education and training (VET) sector. Her career with the company spans over 10 years in various roles before assuming the Interim Managing Director role in July 2018.
Mette previously held the position of National Manager, Statistics and Analytics at NCVER where she was responsible for the national statistical program covering the collection and analysis of data on students and training activity, apprentices and trainees, student outcomes, and employers’ use and views of the VET system. Prior to this, she spent seven years as Manager National Surveys at NCVER, where she led and managed a suite of national surveys.
Before joining NCVER, Mette held a variety of roles at the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), including Director of Environment Statistics. Mette has also previously held positions with the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) as a Senior Research Officer and Postdoctoral Researcher.
Mette has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a Professional Certificate in Management.
